Designer Crush on Zahavit Tshuba

Just thought I would make you DROOL over these amazing designer gowns from Israeli designer Zahavit Tshuba . I mean, seriously? I could live in one of these gowns. lol.  They evoke elegance, sexiness, confidence and feminity all at once. Even the photo styling is fierce!  Can you guess which is one of my fav? Let's just say I'm a mermaid gown rocking queen! I also love that some of these gowns look like they come in separates to mix and match. The only problem is getting your hands on one of these international beauties. Maybe she will open up a US based store soon. Until then...drool away!

Great Bridal Scavenger Hunt 2013!

It was ON! We had our couples who were selected to participate in The Great Bridal Scavenger Hunt 2013 meet us at Bike n' Roll in DC, and we sent them on their way with some cute bags, a bottled water, a snack, and their first clue.

There were six stops, and the first person to solve all of the clues and meet us at the finish line won the hunt! Our winning couple is going to be married in October at the ultra modern art space Longview Gallery in DC. I can't wait to design it!! :)

We were going to have the couples see who could pop a balloon like this the fastest if we had a tie, but they were pretty impossible to pop! Kristiaan and Mydanh could not do it! lol

Kick-Off Reception for the Great Bridal Scavenger Hunt 2013

I am finally back in front of my computer after our Great Bridal Scavenger Hunt, which was a competition between 10 handpicked couples to win a $50,000 wedding in DC!

We wanted to do something of our own for unique marketing and connect with a community of Dc couples, which we were able to do. I have had an amazing time pulling this together with the assistance of a PR friend of mine, and I would like to share some of the moments with you.

In order to enter, couples were invited to fill out a simple form about themselves, and then give us their favorite couple's photo. The photos were put up on Facebook, and their family and friends voted for them! Some couples were chosen for having the most votes, one was given a place in the hunt on MAJIC 102.3 FM by our host Cortney Hicks, and a few were chosen by us! It was so hard because I think everyone is pretty damn awesome who applied, plus I LOVE giving people things. lol.

Themespiration: Bridal Shower Cookies

Since wedding season has started, I have been planning and attending some bridal showers lately.  In my search for fun bridal shower themes and ideas, I have come across some pretty interesting themed desserts.  One of my favorite is themed cookies. Themed cookies are a fun way to add detailed touches to a shower that will wow the bride-to-be and the guest. You can pick up various cookie cutter shapes from your local craft store and have fun decorating the cookies with other bridesmaids or friends.

Sweet Friday

It's Friday again and the weekend is upon us. The weekend promises to have warm weather, family, friends and laughter. I'm going to New York this weekend to visit family and friends and I am looking forward to it. I went to school there and since I graduated,  I have been poor at keeping in touch. So a mini reunion is in order. This dress is fashion-forward and is a nod to NYC, the fashion capital.

Themespiration: Bridal Headwraps

Lately, I have been seeing brides tune into their bohemian sensibilities with headwraps. This accessory is reminiscent of the 70's hippie style and is making claims on brides big day.  The look definitely brings a unique alternative to the standard veil and can still look just as elegant and chic. Unlike the peace, love and soul version, this look is nowhere near understated, but stands out lovely. I give this trend a thumbs up.
