Themespiration: Bridal Shower Cookies

Since wedding season has started, I have been planning and attending some bridal showers lately.  In my search for fun bridal shower themes and ideas, I have come across some pretty interesting themed desserts.  One of my favorite is themed cookies. Themed cookies are a fun way to add detailed touches to a shower that will wow the bride-to-be and the guest. You can pick up various cookie cutter shapes from your local craft store and have fun decorating the cookies with other bridesmaids or friends.

It's Friday again and the weekend is upon us. The weekend promises to have warm weather, family, friends and laughter. I'm going to New York this weekend to visit family and friends and I am looking forward to it. I went to school there and since I graduated,  I have been poor at keeping in touch. So a mini reunion is in order. This dress is fashion-forward and is a nod to NYC, the fashion capital.

The Cherry Blossom's are soon in full bloom along with the festival it brings.  DC will come to life with people, laughter, and of course the blooms.  If you are in the DC area and you haven't been to the festival, it is a must to check it off your bucket list. Themespiration: Bridal Headwraps

Lately, I have been seeing brides tune into their bohemian sensibilities with headwraps. This accessory is reminiscent of the 70's hippie style and is making claims on brides big day.  The look definitely brings a unique alternative to the standard veil and can still look just as elegant and chic. Unlike the peace, love and soul version, this look is nowhere near understated, but stands out lovely. I give this trend a thumbs up.

Sweet Friday

It's Friday again and the weather is getting warmer and warmer in the DC area. Spring is on the horizon! This editorial gives me the feel of Marie Antoinette on her wedding day in her castle posing for her photographer, before she entertains her guests below. Or perhaps it's a damsel trapped in an abandoned open air castle in Spain waiting to be rescued. One can imagine, right? Lol. Have a happy weekend.

Design Crush: Adam Foster Jewelry

If you are like me, you can spend hours browsing through different Etsy shops to see what different artisans have to offer.  When I came across this jewelry designer, I stopped in my tracks. Anybody that knows me absolutely knows that I LOVE vintage jewelry! So when I saw the Adam Foster Jewelry line, I fell in love with the aesthetics. The line is based in St. Louis, Missouri and is a collection of vintage inspired rings. Here's how he describes his work:

"We sell handmade jewelry and are a small family run business. All the pieces that you will find in my store I make from scratch here in my studio. I also handpick only the best and most beautiful gemstones and diamonds I can find to use in my work.
